Rules for the Team
1: Show respect for the enemy in matches, our fellow community gamers and {SS} members on our server, public servers,
and forums. You are wearing the {SS} tag which means you are a professional soldier, so act like one at all times. Please
remember that one member’s negative behaviour affects us all in the clan and may damage our reputation as a friendly
clan we are.
2: All members of {SS} must wear the {SS} tag in front of your Ingame name at all times and the layout should be {SS}
Your Name there are no spaces between {and the start of your name. New recruits will carry a T tag at the end of their name
in this format {SS} Your Name T for a period of 5 days from the start date of the tryout.
3: As a seasoned member or new recruit to {SS} we would like you to participate in any discussions and decisions we may
want to make in the clan, all matches and training schedules are scheduled in advance on this website to which we expect you
to read and update the system to tell us if you can or cannot attend. Please try to post in the forums at least twice a week,
even if it’s a “I am still hear” message and or pop into our TeamSpeak channel as much as you
can for a chat. If you do not post in the forums or update yourself on Vwars for 4 weeks [and we are not aware of where or
what you are doing] we will take it that you have left and delete your account details without notice and without any re-reimbursed
of any fee's paid.
4: If you are scheduled to be in a match, we ask that you arrive on the server and TeamSpeak at least 30 minutes prior
to the start time of the event, if we are running a scheduled training session please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior
to the published time. If for whatever reason you cannot make a match or training session, please post in the forums or let
a fellow member of {SS} know as soon as you can.
5: Please keep up to date with the development of the games we participate in, we post all patches and news updates via
our website for forum, so contribute to that news or information when you can. There is nothing more frustrating to you or
your fellow team members to have to wait for you to be ready for a match or training session and you do not have the latest
patch or MOD installed.
6: Communication is the lifeblood of any organization or friendship, so make sure you have a good clear microphone and
headset; there is nothing worse than using speakers and trying to talk in a mic, because all your team mates hear is your
ingame sounds and a little bit of what you are trying to say. When using TeamSpeak make sure you have "Push To Talk"
working and not "Voice Activation" unless its configured in such a way that we cannot hear you eating, chewing,
burping or making any other inappropriate words or phrases. Always play on the same team side as your fellow {SS} members
unless requested otherwise, make sure you communicate using TeamSpeak or the Ingame messaging or both at all times, where
the enemy is, what the threat is likely to be, requesting support, giving out tactical orders etc, be clear, concise and stay
calm.
7: When using other communications software such as Email - TeamSpeak - MSN - ICQ - Skype - please make sure you are
recognisable using your clan tag and name in the format as described in commandment number 3. This helps other members in
the clan know who you are.
8: At {SS} we want you to have as much fun as possible and enjoy the game and competition like it is. Please refrain
from swearing, calling other players n00bs, team killing and general negative comments on servers, forums or TeamSpeak. We
are a clan run by the members for the members, unlike some clans who are run by the senior leaders for themselves, so enjoy
the experience and training soldier, that’s an order.
